CannaCompass respects your privacy. We believe your personal information should remain yours, and we’ve designed our app with that principle in mind.
This Privacy Policy explains how CannaCompass handles information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information Used by the App
CannaCompass allows Florida medical cannabis patients to search for products, compare dispensary prices, find discounts, and track spending.
Depending on the features you use, the app may access or store:
- Location information: Your device location or a ZIP code you enter to search for nearby dispensaries.
- Search preferences: Product names, brands, classes, types, weights, THC percentages, price limits, and search radius.
- Spending information: Records used to calculate your monthly and lifetime spending.
2. How Your Information Is Stored
Your personal search preferences, location information, and spending records are stored locally on your device.
CannaCompass does not maintain a server that collects or stores this personal information.
3. Location Services
If you choose to use your device’s location, CannaCompass requests permission to access it to help identify dispensaries within your selected search radius.
You may instead enter a ZIP code.
You can manage location permissions through your iPhone settings.
4. Third-Party Dispensary Information
CannaCompass retrieves publicly available product listings, inventory information, and prices from third-party dispensary websites.
Dispensary information may change without notice. CannaCompass is not responsible for the privacy practices or content of third-party websites.
5. Data Sharing
CannaCompass does not sell your personal information or share your locally stored spending records for advertising purposes.
The app does not use personal information for cross-app advertising tracking.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
Your locally stored information remains on your device until you remove it through available app features or delete the app.
Deleting the app generally removes its locally stored data from your device, subject to any copies retained in device backups.
7. Data Security
Keeping personal records on your device helps limit unnecessary collection of personal information.
We recommend protecting your device with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID.
8. Children’s Privacy
CannaCompass is intended for individuals legally eligible to participate in Florida’s medical cannabis program. It is not designed for children to use independently.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
